ServiceBuddy.com has created a number of safeguards to ensure that our rankings and reviews are accurate and meaningful for our members.

• To rank or review any service company the user most be logged into their account. Each member is validated with an email link at time of registration. This eliminates the possibility of one individual creating multiple bogus memberships.

• We match the network address to each email address. This prevents any one user creating multiple membership accounts from one computer location. We do allow up to two accounts per network location to accommodate a typical household with two adult members.

• We only allow one review every 30 days by a member for a specific service provider. This will prevent a user from posting multiple reviews to help or hurt a companies ranking.

As a member, ServiceBuddy.com is absolutely FREE! We charge fees to the individuals that making money from these service transactions, the service companies!

An important point to note is that service companies have the ability to purchase memberships for access to enhanced services and can advertise on ServiceBuddy.com by purchasing a banner advertisement which is displayed at the top of the appropriate service category page. These paid services have absolutely no influence on the rankings of the service providers. The rankings are completely driven by member reviews and rankings.

If you don’t see a service category that meets your requirements, let us know via the online form. If we feel the category is relevant for our members, we will add the category and upload the service company profiles. We have many companies that are not currently loaded, so let us know if we missed one.

Select a project category from the search screen, choose the appropriate sub-category in Step 2, and then complete your location information in Step 3. click on the "Begin Search" button. ServiceBuddy.com will display the service professionals in your area that can help you.

Review the service professional profiles and select up to three in which you'd like to send a project request. Click on "Complete project to submit bid".

Complete the project detail on the form provided and click "Save Project". Your project request will come to ServiceBuddy.com for review. We will then contact you if we have any questions or recommendations to improve a service professional response, and then release your project request.

Members decide how many service companies they would like to send a project quote request. We believe in giving the homeowner a fair selection of estimates to choose from, while at the same time giving our contractors a good chance of winning many of the jobs they are interested in.

Once you feel confident you've selected the service professional that is right for you, complete any necessary paperwork with them and schedule a start date for your project.

Unless you have signed a contract with a service professional, you're under no obligation. In the event you have signed a contract, you will need to discuss the terms of the agreement with your service professional

In order to update the information in your profile, you must log into your account and go to the menu tabs on the top of the page relating to the information you wish to change. When you have finished editing that information, just click the submit button to save it. You can always return to this screen and edit the information.

Only the service providers that you approve for your projects will be able to see your personal contact information. This allows them to follow up directly with you to negotiate the final details of your project.
